Where did that name come from?

Semiahmoo Loop

Named after Washington State’s iconic Semiahmoo Resort, Golf and Spa which is located on the pristine shores of Semiahmoo Bay and Drayton Harbor, where tide pools and estuaries provide a sanctuary for Pacific northwest wildlife. Just 45 minutes south of Vancouver, B.C. and 90 minutes north of Seattle, Semiahmoo has recently completed a multi-million  dollar restoration inspired by its seaside location.

Enniscrone Drive

Enniscrone Golf Club, Championship Links Course, among the finest and most challenging traditional Irish links golf courses, Enniscrone began in 1918 as an unrefined nine-hole course near a seaside village. Today, Enniscrone offers 27 holes on 400 acres of magnificent links land, featuring the par 73 Dunes Championship  Links Course, and is located a little over 3 hours from Dublin.  And now has a street named after it.

Cochiti Lake Drive

Your address refers to Cochiti Golf Club, an 18-hole Robert Trent Jones Jr. public golf course located in Cochiti Lake, New Mexico, conveniently located between Albuquerque and Santa Fe. To go along with the fantastic layout of the course, it is nestled in the beautiful high desert terrain of northern New Mexico. After your round, take in the views at the Stone Kiva Bar and Grill. It’s not hard to see why this place is called “Heaven with a zip code.”

Hyannisport Loop

Hyannis is the largest of the seven villages in the town of Barnstable, and is considered the heart of Cape Cod, Massachusetts.  The Hyannisport Club is a private club and boasts some of the most scenic views on Cape Cod, known for having water visible on every hole. The course is located adjacent to the Kennedy Compound and the Kennedy family have long been members of the club.

Saunton Drive

Your street name is isnspired by a village located on the North Devon coast of England. There you will find the Saunton Golf Club which was established over a 100 years ago, and despite the proliferation of new courses, Saunton’s two courses have stood up well to the competition. The East Course is ranked No.32 in the Golf World "Top 100 Courses" and the West Course is No 67.  There is only one club with 2 better links courses in all of England and that is St Andrews!

A Grass Bunker

A depression on the golf course, which is filled with grass and not sand, is called grass bunker. Even if a grass bunker looks like a real bunker and is also a little bit harder to play than normal ground, it is not seen as a bunker under the Rules of Golf.

A Gap Wedge

Also known as an “all wedge” is a wedge used to hit a shot with higher and shorter trajectory than a pitching wedge and lower and longer trajectory than a sand wedge. The name derives from the club's design to fill the "gap" between sand and pitching wedges.

Now when someone asks about your address you can educate them.
